We believe that volunteers make us a stronger organization.

Volunteers are involved in everything we do, from sorting supplies in the warehouse to helping to start community laboratories, answering phones or joining a medical deployment. Learn more about volunteer opportunities with HHI!

There are many ways to volunteer with Heart to Heart International …

Laboratories

Diagnosing and treating patients often requires laboratory testing. The Laboratory Program at HHI establishes point-of-care laboratory testing in free and charitable clinics throughout the United States to aid them in their care of under-resourced patients and communities. If you have a laboratory background and wish to make a difference, we have opportunities for you to share your expertise.

Disaster Response

When a major disaster strikes, Heart to Heart International (HHI) deploys a team of highly qualified responders equipped to rapidly deploy as a self-contained emergency medical and non-medical team.

Hygiene Kits

Heart to Heart International has a program that offers community members a chance to volunteer and assemble hygiene kits during sessions at our headquarters. By assembling hygiene kits, you are helping us respond to people impacted by disasters and crises.

Groups

Are you looking for an opportunity for a team-building activity for your corporation or group? Do you want to make a difference by assembling hygiene kits at our headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas? We provide many different ways to get involved in our hygiene kit program.

Local Opportunities - Medical

While our mission is global, we also provide ongoing health services in Kansas City. You can get involved locally by serving in low-resource communities. Check out our current opportunities.

From welcoming guests to supporting hygiene kit needs, our volunteers help keep things moving and make us better at what we do. Roles require on-going commitment and are limited.
