Sudan Refugees

Increasing Access:

Nearly two decades of civil war have taken a toll on the healthcare infrastructure of Sudan. Vast expanses of desert separate the few remaining hospitals and clinics. The pharmacies in many of these healthcare facilities are even more barren. Heart to Heart is working to increase access to reliable healthcare services by providing shipments of medical aid to groups like JumpStart Sudan. These groups provide ongoing care on a regular basis. According to JumpStart, our medicines make it possible for healthcare workers to treat more patients and the aid represents “the only influx of product these clinics will see all year.”

Responding to People in Crisis:

We are coordinating relief efforts with a vital humanitarian network that is caring for refugees of the Sudanese civil war in countries like Chad. We support these efforts by supplying medical aid on a regular basis, so our partners in the region can provide basic health services to displaced people.
