Since the beginning of the year, Heart to Heart International has sent medical and humanitarian to organizations in all 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. The aid includes medical equipment, medicines, personal protective equipment, and hygiene kits delivered to organizations working to protect our most vulnerable communities, including nursing homes, homeless shelters, hospitals, clinics, day care centers, and food pantries. These organizations are working to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as natural disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes and flooding.
Thank you to all of our supporters who help make these deliveries possible and thank you to all our partner organizations who are doing such amazing work across the United States.
Hear from just a few of these organizations:
“Got the Supplies. Thank you for your generous donation. We were definitely out of n95 masks and had used the last ‘bunny suit’ today in the office. You and your organization are the best.” – Dr. Vincent Lem, St. Luke’s Health System
“On behalf of all students of the Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Heart to Heart International for the donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) so that Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) medical students can re-initiate their clinical rotations during the summer of 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us all very hard in multiple ways. Besides the risk of infection in our communities, our students were displaced from hospitals and clinics to protect them from COVID-19, and to limit the use of PPE to healthcare providers in direct contact with potentially infected people. They are eager to return to clinical rotations, and hospitals are willing to have them back, but this may happen only if the students are able to provide their own PPE. This donation will surely ensure that they can begin their rotations.” – Olga Rodríguez de Arzola, MD, FAAP Dean, Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine
“Mission for the Health Alliance for the Uninsured is to be a catalyst for improved healthcare services to those who would otherwise be unable to obtain them from specialty medical procedures to medication assistance. HAU serves about 20 clinics in Central Oklahoma with an estimated PPE usage of about $30,000 per month. The clinic staff, patients and our HAU board is so grateful for this generous donation to keep Oklahomans Covid-safe and provide life saving services to our most vulnerable population.” –Jeanean Yanish, Mission for the Health Alliance for the Uninsured
“Just got word from the eastern “Faith Site” that as they went out to give water and supplies, many were stating that they hadn’t eaten for 3 days and they were extremely grateful.” – Tim Tsoodle, Director, Navajo Nation Christian Response Team
“Together with our community partners, Children Like Loni served 350 individuals with hygiene kits and PPE masks. 100 of these recipients were existing CLL clients. The hygiene kits included toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, and towels. Other items offered were male and female specific hygiene kits. The positive impact of this event was a step in the right direction as we collectively work to anticipate and address community needs during COVID-19.” – Children Like Loni
“Heart to Heart International recently donated hand sanitizer, a contactless thermometer and exam gloves to our safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic. Thank you for keeping our patients safe!” – Cass Community Health Foundation
“Today we received more hygiene kits from Heart to Heart International and Johnson & Johnson. Thank you for supporting our mission to help those in need. 600 pounds of hygiene kits delivered by Fedex to us to reload and send to those affected by hurricane Laura.“ – Bigun’s Hope Disaster Response Services
