Heart to Heart International’s clinic at the Hope Faith Homeless Assistance Campus will be mentoring nurse practitioner students from the Research College of Nursing starting this semester.
Dr. Kathleen Stone, our provider at the clinic, will be working closely with the assigned student to teach, nurture, and guide them on how to effectively provide health services to underserved populations. “We are so happy to partner with RNC, as it will bring new perspective to the Hope Faith Clinic. The skills and street smarts that our students will learn, will serve them well as they staff our hospitals in the future and continue to encounter individuals experiencing homelessness,” stated Dr. Stone.
Seval Erdogan, the clinic’s first student nurse practitioner, started Thursday, February 25, and will be supporting our team on Thursdays and Fridays until the end of the semester. Seval expressed her excitement to join our team stating, “Ever since I came to the US with my husband many years ago, I have wanted to give back to the community that provided me with support and the resources I needed. My heart wants to serve and I hope that my time with HHI and Hope Faith will be long-term.”
We welcome Seval to the Hope Faith Clinic team and are looking forward to this mentorship with Research College of Nursing to support the next generation of Nurse Practitioners.
