For many children, school can be a struggle. But for some, a hidden hurdle has been their vision. Unable to see the board clearly, they often don’t realize their sight is impaired and simply struggle through.
However, that’s all changing now! Our Community Health program has partnered with University Health, the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, and the KC Free Eye Clinic to provide free eye exams and glasses to students at a Kansas City elementary school. This incredible initiative is making a real difference in the lives of these young learners.
