Disaster Response team volunteers
When disasters strike, our volunteers respond.
When a major disaster strikes, Heart to Heart International (HHI) deploys a team of highly qualified responders equipped to rapidly deploy as a self-contained emergency medical team.
The Disaster Response Team (DRT) works in disaster zones to provide medical care, including triage, first aid, stabilization and referral of severe trauma, as well as basic emergency care for pediatrics, obstetrics, and mental health needs. Backed by top-notch HHI logistical support, DRT members can focus on the task at hand — helping disaster survivors.
Are you a medical or logistical professional and would like to use your skills to help those impacted by a disaster? Consider applying for the Disaster Response Team.
Medical Opportunities
You got into the medical field to help people live healthier lives. Our disaster responders regularly say that their training and deployment experience is among the highlights of their career. Learn more about becoming a member of the team.
Non-Medical Opportunities
When a disaster strikes, HHI deploys a medical response team backed by top-notch logistical support. If you can operate a generator, set up water filtration and figure out communication without cell phone service then the Disaster Response Team is the place for you.
