In early July, our first three portable medical clinics arrived in Ukraine. These units are fully equipped and ready to immediately operate as medical facilities in disaster areas, regardless of the surrounding area’s infrastructure. Heart to Heart International has been working with our partner The Gorta Group and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to determine the best locations for these units.
One of the clinics is a laboratory donated by Worksite Labs, and two are primary care clinics donated by Clinic in a Can. The clinics were also packed with thousands of hygiene kits and food packs, which will be distributed in the affected areas. Heart to Heart International will be shipping an additional 12 clinics, including trauma clinics and maternal health units, to Ukraine later this summer.
