Heart to Heart International is on the ground in Mississippi to assess damage and determine how best to help the communities affected by the deadly and destructive tornado that touched down on March 25.
The EF-4 tornado traveled 59 miles across Mississippi with a width of three-quarters of a mile. Experts say the massive and powerful tornado lasted about an hour and 10 minutes, and officials have announced 25 fatalities in Mississippi and one in Alabama.
Hygiene kits are already being prepared for shipment, and we will continue to work with local partners to identify areas of greatest need and to provide medical support and aid distribution.
