By providing essential medical supplies like Chloraprep, we are directly contributing to improved maternal and child health outcomes. Chloraprep is crucial in preventing infections during childbirth and other procedures, such as:
- Preparing the site for IV insertions during deliveries.
- Preparing the site for drawing blood during prenatal consultations and STD testing.
- Preparing the site for hypodermic vaccinations during well-baby checkups.
- General dermal sterilization during deliveries.
In a rural setting where access to proper hygiene and sanitation can be limited, Chloraprep plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both mothers and babies.
A Legacy of Impact:
Maison de Naissance, “Home of Birth,” sponsored by Global Birthing Home Foundation, is a modern maternal health center supporting healthy mothers and healthy babies in Haiti. The100% Haitian staff provides high quality medical care in a welcoming and culturally appropriate environment, coupled with ongoing community oriented support, to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible. To date, they have conducted more than 390,000 total consultations and performed over 8,500 healthy deliveries.
