Storms, tornadoes and flooding have wreaked havoc across the country in recent weeks, destroying homes and leaving many communities reeling.
Heart to Heart International is actively responding to multiple storm-affected communities, providing essential supplies to help people get back on their feet in Arkansas, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma. HHI continues to coordinate with partners to determine what additional aid is needed.
In response to the violence displacing many Haitians, we have been working with partners Food For The Poor and Airlink to deliver hygiene kits. These kits provide much-needed relief to Haitians who have been forced from their homes. The first shipment arrived in Port-au-Prince last week, and additional shipments are planned to ensure continued support.

Millions of people in Malawi lack access to essential healthcare, and hospitals and clinics struggle to keep vital medicines in stock. We have been working with our longtime partner Church of the Resurrection to deliver life-saving medications and more to Malawi.
This includes medicines to treat chronic conditions, supplies to ensure safe medical procedures, and hygiene kits.
The official Atlantic Hurricane season began on June 1, and scientists are predicting an above normal season of storm activity. Forecasters say the reasons for this include very warm water temperatures and a transition from the current El Niño weather pattern to a La Niña pattern later this year.
Heart to Heart International is prepared to respond whenever and wherever we are needed in the aftermath of a hurricane. When disasters strike, access to healthcare becomes critical. We’re committed to delivering health services and vital supplies to communities impacted by these powerful storms.
HHI at Disaster Response Conference
In May, members of our Disaster Response Team attended the National VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters) conference.
It was a valuable experience for the team to connect with other disaster response organizations, exchange best practices, forge new partnerships, and collaborate on solutions to enhance our disaster response efforts.
On-Site Lab Test Results in Houston
Struggling with a chronic illness can be tough, but imagine facing that challenge without easy access to healthcare. Long waits, delayed tests, and travel burdens can make managing conditions like diabetes nearly impossible.
Discover how we’re equipping free clinics, including the San Jose Clinic in Houston, Texas, with on-site labs, allowing for same-day testing and diagnosis, and ultimately leading to better health outcomes for patients.
We need laboratory volunteers! Our lab program enlists volunteers to assist us in setting up laboratory testing capabilities within free and charitable clinics.
If you have a laboratory background, a desire to make a difference by sharing your skills, and want to travel in the U.S., consider applying to be an HHI lab volunteer.
