Michigan Clinic Receives Lab Technology and Training to Improve Patient Care

For more than a thousand residents of Garden City, Michigan, and the greater metropolitan Detroit community, C-ASSIST is a vital source of healthcare and support. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to serving the underserved, uninsured and at-risk members of the community by providing essential healthcare, social services and a pathway to self-sufficiency.

Heart to Heart International knows how critical clinics like C-ASSIST are to the health and well being of under-resourced communities and has partnered with BD, Henry Schein Cares, and the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics to use laboratory testing capabilities to enhance the capacity to deliver healthcare for clinics throughout the United States.

As a recipient of this laboratory grant program, C-ASSIST received state-of-the-art testing equipment and comprehensive training for its staff. This enables the clinic to offer on-site diagnostic testing, leading to faster diagnoses, improved treatment plans, and enhanced patient care. By providing lab results to patients at the same visit, C-ASSIST can address urgent health needs efficiently and effectively.

Heart to Heart International is proud to support C-ASSIST in its mission to empower individuals and create healthier communities.
