Our Team

As Chief Executive Officer of Heart to Heart International, Kim Carroll is responsible for leading the organization and increasing its impact. Kim oversees all aspects of HHI’s work to fulfill its mission of improving healthcare access throughout the world.

Kim joined Heart to Heart International in 2016, bringing to the organization extensive leadership experience from a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. She began her career with Marion Laboratories in Kansas City, and her experience includes general management and commercial leadership roles. Kim graduated from Mercer University and earned an MBA from Troy State University.

Kim started at Heart to Heart International as a volunteer and has deployed on numerous disaster responses, including hurricanes Harvey and Maria. “Heart to Heart International knows no greater purpose than caring for people in need, and that is manifested in everything we do. Our organization may be small, but our impact on the world is life-changing.”

Kim is thrilled to be back in Kansas City and is spending time exploring its sports, food and entertainment offerings.

Dan Neal serves Heart to Heart International as Vice President of Operations, where he oversees the areas of organization administration, facilities, warehouse operations, supply chain and logistics. He has worked at HHI for 25 years and has previously led our programs area which includes Disaster Response, Community Health and Labs.

Brian Sink serves as Vice President and oversees the Hygiene Kit program.

Brian came to HHI after three years of volunteering in the warehouse and with the Hygiene Kit program. Before this, he served in various positions involving process design, product management and development, and project management throughout his 24 years at Sprint Communications (now T-Mobile). He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University.

Brian pivoted to the nonprofit sector after a number of seminal moments supporting underserved communities in a volunteer capacity. “I work at HHI for many reasons. I love the dynamic nature of the work, the reward of helping others and the teamwork of partnering with peers and volunteers to make a difference. It is a blessing to be surrounded by staff and volunteers giving of themselves every day.”

Brian enjoys gardening, running, baking and the occasional practical joke.

Dr. Agustina Boehringer has been practicing clinically in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care since 2004. Dr. Boehringer joined HHI as a volunteer in 2017 and has been on multiple deployments with the organization. She was contracted as the Associate Chief Medical Officer for HHI in February 2020 and became Chief Medical Officer in January 2021.

She attended the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine in her native Argentina. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Science in PA studies at Northeastern University and a Doctor of Medical Science in Global Health and Disaster Medicine from the University of Lynchburg.

She is married and has two grown sons. She and her husband enjoy traveling and are avid scuba divers. They also have more rescue dogs than most people would consider normal.

Anne Dykes joined Heart to Heart International in 2019, where she oversees the development and communications teams. She uses her decades of experience to lead the teams to connect with donors to raise capital, annual and planned giving and is responsible for maintaining and building brand integrity through communication and marketing initiatives. Anne is passionate about connecting Heart to Heart International’s mission to others who are interested in providing access to healthcare locally and globally. A nonprofit executive for more than 30 years, Anne has worked at YMCAs in USA and Japan, Ronald McDonald House Charities Kansas City, Wayside Waifs and McDonald’s.
