A catastrophic 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, causing widespread devastation and claiming over 1,600 lives. In response, Heart to Heart International is mobilizing to address the immense needs of survivors.

Our Disaster Response Team is deploying an assessment team to Bangkok this week to coordinate with local and international partners, assess the ongoing situation, and ensure the delivery of vital medical supplies. Simultaneously, shipments of aid are being prepared for dispatch from our headquarters.

The impact of this disaster is compounded by powerful aftershocks, including a 6.7 tremor and numerous others exceeding magnitude 5.0. Significant disruptions to transport, power, telecommunications, and water are anticipated for weeks, and the death toll is expected to rise.

Heart to Heart International has a long and proven history of responding to devastating earthquakes, including the 2022 Turkey-Syria earthquake, the 2015 Nepal earthquake, and the 2010 and 2021 Haiti earthquakes This experience ensures we are equipped to address the complex needs of the survivors. The scale of the earthquake, coupled with the aftershocks and ongoing infrastructure disruptions, requires a coordinated response. We are committed to working alongside the international and local communities to deliver appropriate aid to those in need. Your donation today will directly aid those in desperate need.
