How long have you been volunteering with Heart to Heart International?
I started to volunteer for Heart to Heart International in February 2017.
Why did you start?
I had heard about Heart to Heart International and I wanted to give back and help others.
What do you like about it?
Working with Heart to Heart is very rewarding. When I am at the front desk answering the phone, I like to keep busy doing projects. I know that the time I spend on projects saves the warehouse staff time so that they can produce more hygiene kits for those in need.
What is it about the Heart to Heart International’s cause that is inspiring?
The individuals who work in the field for Heart to Heart International themselves are inspiring! Whenever there is a crisis, they are ready to help others. They are usually out in the worst of weather trying to make sure that others are safe. It takes a special individual to give of themselves time after time with very little personal recognition.
What do you tell your friends/family about Heart to Heart International?
I don’t really have to tell my friends and family about Heart to Heart International because they see it on the news. With friends I am usually trying to recruit them as a volunteer.
